Thesis title: Politics of “Governance” for Poverty Reduction in Developing Countries: Bangladesh as Case Study
Governing the poverty reduction process is important for developing countries and the state is an important actor in this process. However public organizations are characterized as being overly bureaucratic and often regarded as biggest problem for reducing poverty in those countries. While Non-Government Organizations are believed to be more efficient than government organization in poverty reduction, they are believed to use professional approaches to implement projects or deliver services, and there are also criticisms of them as well.

My intension is, through this research, to identify the approaches the government organizations and non government organizations are using for their poverty reduction program and also investigate various issues the public bureaucracy is facing at sub-district and district level while implementing programs or project for poverty reduction.
